Andrew "Andy" Joseph Simmons III

Andrew Joseph Simmons III, 61, of Holly Pond, entered into the presence of our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 19, 2019. He was born February 7, 1958, in New York, to Andrew Joseph Simmons II and Wanda Jean MacCheyne Simmons.

Andy worked in the construction industry from the time he was eighteen until he retired. Mr. Simmons loved his work and he advanced in the industry. Upon retirement, he was a Construction Superintendent with Morgan Construction Company Inc. in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Andy loved the outdoors. He could often times be found out on his boat or just working in his yard. Mr. Simmons also enjoyed spending time with his friends. He loved an afternoon with the guys, just doing what guys do. Andy married the love of his life, Ashley, in 2010. They loved spending time together, along with their little dog, Sadie. Andy became a child of God a month ago and we know that he has found rest in the arms of our Father.

Mr. Simmons is preceded in death by his sister, Dawn Getman.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Ashley Simmons; father, Andrew Joseph Simmons II; mother, Wanda Jean MacCheyne; brothers, Thomas Simmons, Daniel Simmons; nephews, Zack Simmons, Dylan Simmons; a host of friends; and his little dog, Sadie.

They family will hold a private memorial for Mr. Simmons.
