Funeral services for Mrs. Carole Jean Lee Thrasher, age 76 of Holly Pond, will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Holly Pond First Baptist Church, Herman Lambert officiating. She will lie-in-state from 1 pm until funeral time at the church. Interment following in Holly Pond Cemetery.

Mrs. Thrasher was born on August 30, 1940 in Cullman County, AL to Hobert G. Lee and Rachel M. Boatright Lee. She worked at Cullman Industries and Oneida, but spent most her life as a housewife caring for those she loved most. She was a member of Holly Pond First Baptist Church. Mrs. Thrasher went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Thrasher is predeceased by her parents and husband, of 53 years, Marvin Hulett Thrasher.

Survivors include her son, Dewayne (Amber) Thrasher; daughters, Renee (Harold) Walker and Pam (Charles) Shelnutt; grandchildren, Nevada (Jeff) Golliver, Clint Walker, and Abbie Thrasher; and a great-grandchild, due later this month, Walker Jack Golliver.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 pm on Saturday evening at Holly Pond Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.

Pallbearers will be Kerry Watson, Clint Walker, Jeff Golliver, Mark Watson, Terry Watson, and Ronnie Boatright.
