Clay Thomas

  Funeral Services for Clay Thomas, age 71 will be 1p.m. Friday, September 27, 2019 at Holly Pond Funeral Home with burial in Brooklyn Cemetery.  Visitation is from 11 a.m. until Funeral begins at 1 p.m.

  Mr. Thomas passed away at his home Wednesday, September 25, 2019 with his devoted wife and family by his side.  Before retirement, he worked as a sales associate for Walmart.  Clay served our country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam earning multiple medals and citations including National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/Silver Star and 2 Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device Meritorious Unit Citation w/3 OLC and 4 O/S bars Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry w/Palm, 2 Good Conduct Medals, Vietnamese Civil Action Citation w/2 OLC.

    Clay is predeceased by wife Carol Curson Thomas.  He is survived by his wife, Annette Dial Thomas; parents Norman and Margaret Sandlin Thomas;  sons, Norman Paul  (Kaylah), Thomas and Joshua (May) Thomas; daughters, Aubrey-Ann Pisoc and Ava Thomas; Brothers, Allen   Lane Thomas; Sister, Amy Frances Haile; grandchildren; Grace, Rylie, Darby and Liberty.
