Clyde “Bart” Barton Moon, Jr.

Funeral Services for Mr. Clyde “Bart” Barton Moon, Jr., age 59 of Houston, AL, will be held at 11 am on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Holly Pond Funeral Home, Larry Nails officiating. Interment following the funeral in Holly Pond Cemetery.

Mr. Bart was born the youngest of three and the only boy, to Clyde Barton Moon, Sr. and Dorothy Velera Thomas Moon in Cullman County, AL. He was born on February 1, 1958.

Bart was a metal fabricator, machinist, and welder at Chrysler for many years and a member of the United Auto Workers Union. He was a big man with an even bigger heart, a soft spoken gentle giant who could calm the worst of tough situations. He attended Redan Baptist Church until he relocated to Houston on Smith Lake.

Bart is predeceased by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Glover; daughters, Amanda (David) Moon Adams of Harvest and Abby Moon of Florence; stepson, Dustin Edward Glover of Russleville; stepdaughter, Katurha Danielle Glover Trece of Ashridge; grandchildren, Ellie Adams, Harper Adams, due in October, Alayiah Rayne Dunnaway, Sadie  Dunnaway, Emma Trece,  Hadley Trece, and Issy Trece; and sisters, Pam (Rickey) Dye of Holly Pond and Dale Smith of Louisville, Ky.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6 until 8 pm on Friday evening.
