Daniel Keith Marston

Daniel Keith Marston, of Holly Pond, Alabama, passed away on June 6, 2025, at the age of 72. Mr. Marston was born in Vincennes, Indiana, to the late Fern Faughty Endsley and the late Curtis Marston on June 18, 1952.

Known to most as “Yankee Dan” or “Dan the Handy Man,” Daniel was raised in Tower Hill, Illinois, but made Alabama his home in 1988. Daniel served in the United States Air Force for two years and later worked for Walker Brothers until his retirement. Mr. Marston was a man of faith and enjoyed being a member of Union Grove Church in Holly Pond. He was a talented man and was skilled in woodworking, woodburning, painting, and pencil drawing. Daniel was also a gifted vocalist and guitarist.

Mr. Marston is preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Fern and Jerry Endsley; father, Curtis Marston; and three sisters, Judy Romero-Oak, Jeannie Earwood, Mary Jo Marston.

Those left to cherish the memory of Daniel include his daughter, Yolanda Maile (Keith); brothers, George Marston, Jim Marston (Charlotte), Gary Marston (Lynn); stepchildren, Amanda Cavitt (Nathan), Jason Adams (Kathy); grandsons, Brandon Marston, Conner Marston; step-granddaughter, Elaina Hartley; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for Mr. Marston will be announced at a later time.
