David O'Neil Lowe Sr.

Mr. David Lowe, 71, of Baileyton, entered into the presence of our Lord and Savior on Monday, October 15, 2018. He was born June 11,1947, to Elbert Holloway and Hilda Swann. 

Mr. Lowe was a maintenance director by trade and also served the Lord in the ministry. David was a member of New Life Pentecostal Church in Arab, Alabama, as well as a member of DAV. He was a loving husband of 28 years, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

David served his country in the United States Army as an Indirect Fire Infantryman where he earned both a National Defense Service Medal as well as a Sharpshooter Badge. We are grateful for his service to our country. 

David is preceded in death by his father, Elbert Holloway; and adoptive father, Walter Lowe.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Jordan Lowe; mother, Hilda Swann Lowe; son, David O'Neil Lowe, Jr.; stepsons, Rick (Heidi) Milliken, Stevie Dixon, Donny Dixon; stepdaughters, Monica (Jimmy) Tucker, Diane (Brent) Medders; brother, Phillip Holloway; sisters, Gwina Creekmore, and Rachel; one granddaughter; six step-grandchildren; and one step great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be conducted at Redan Baptist Church Cemetery on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 11 a.m, Derek Sherrill officiating.
