David Allen Valencia

David Allen Valencia, of Hartselle, Alabama, formerly of Holly Pond, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home on September 19, 2024. Dave was born on January 24, 1955, in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a disabled Navy veteran.

Mr. Valencia is preceded in death by his mother, Violet Mayhall; sister, Sharon Tchorz; and brother, Bobby Mayhall.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Valencia; his daughter, Krisha Fox (Leigh); one grandson, Levi Fox (Arianna); sisters, Laurie Hahn, Robin Mayhall, Beth Mayhall, and Rebecca Richards; stepchildren, Aimee Eason Hargrove (Tommy), Angela Eason Smith, Aaron Littrell (Jessica); six step-grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Dave loved his family, country, and his Harley. He was a diehard Alabama football fan, and most importantly, Dave loved our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a good man who loved with his whole heart. He will be greatly missed.

Services for Dave will be held at Holly Pond Funeral Home. The family will receive guests on Sunday, September 29, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m., with Brother Tim Collier, LDCC, officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Pond Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to help with the funeral expenses of Mr. Valencia.

Dave’s obituary was lovingly written by his wife, Karen.
