Donna Sue Nesbitt

Donna Sue Nesbitt, of Cullman, Alabama, passed away on February 6, 2022, at the age of 69. She was born to William Hugh and Blue Bell White Kelley on March 11, 1952, in Cullman, Alabama.

Donna enjoyed the beauty of flowers and she enjoyed quilting. She loved her three little doggies, Princess, Trouble, and Boss – all named accordingly. Ms. Nesbitt had a loving heart, and she became like a mother to most everyone she knew. She adored her family and they loved her dearly. Many hearts were broken when Donna passed away, and she will be loved and missed by many.

Ms. Nesbitt is preceded in death by her parents; brother, John David Kelley; and her son-in-law, Anthony Lynn Ash.

Donna is survived by her son, Kevin Douglas Nesbitt; daughter, Gwendolyn Sue Ash; grandchildren, Stephen Abbott, Drew Abbott, Brittany Nesbitt, Brett Nesbitt; great-grandchildren, Danyelle Abbott, William Abbott, Kevin Abbott, Brantley Nesbitt; brothers, Larry and Anne Kelley, Danny Kelley; sister, Judy and David Lynn; sister-in-law; Violene Kelley; dear friend, Jody Goodwin; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Ms. Nesbitt are 1 p.m., Thursday, February 10, 2022, in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Union Grove Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with Donna’s family before the service begins on Thursday, from 11 a.m., until service time.
