Funeral services for Dorothy Burgess Eason, age 86 of Holly Pond, will be at 2 pm on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Holly Pond Funeral Home, with Randy Burtram officiating. Internmemt following in Holly Pond Cemetery.

Mrs. Eason was born on December 19, 1930 in Cullman County, AL to Virgil Burgess and Sadie Belle Daniel Burgess. She passed away on April 21, 2017 in Cullman County, AL. Mrs. Eason was a wonderful mother, cook, and homemaker who was also a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.

Mrs. Eason is predeceased by her parents; husband, R.J. Eason; granddaughter, Tabetha Eason; and brothers, Roy Burgess and Fred Burgess.

Survivors include sons, Jimmy (Donna) Eason and Ronnie Eason; daughters, Peggy (Ricky) Black, Diane (Rodney) Alldredge, and Lisa Watson; grandchildren, Rena Putman, Amanda Clark, Heather Kuykendall, Megan Murphree, Cassie Muriithi, Delane Alldredge, Karissa Thomas, Ely Watson, and Shanna Rollo; 12 great grandchildren with one on the way; and brothers, Marshall (Anne) Burgess and Norman (Linda) Burgess.

The family will receive friends at Holly Pond Funeral Home from 6 until 8 pm on Saturday evening.
