Dwight West

Dwight West, 75, of Holly Pond, Alabama, passed away on February 27, 2022. He was born to Fred H. and Pauline Couch West, in Cullman County, Alabama, on August 10, 1946.

Mr. West served his country with honor in the United States Army. After his time in the service, Dwight spent many years in the construction industry. He enjoyed the outdoors and he loved to travel. Mr. West lived in Costa Rica for fifteen years and was fluent in Spanish. Dwight loved to visit Buena Vista, in Cullman, several times a week where he enjoyed speaking the langue with the servers there.

Dwight is preceded in death by his parents as well as a granddaughter, Natalie West.

He is survived by his children, Bryan and Hillary West, Michael and Bridget “Birdie” Chambers, Pricilla West Rivera; grandchildren, Emily West, Alie West, Lilli West, Corey and Sarah Chambers, Erica and Michael Lambert, Tyler Chambers; great-grandchildren, Janalice Chambers, Sawyer Chambers, Leo Lambert, Fox Lambert, and Lucy Lambert.

Following a private Celebration of Life, Mr. West will be taken to Costa Rica.
