Eddy “Randy” Smith

Eddy “Randy" Smith, age 63, of Blount County, entered into the presence of his Savior and Lord on March 15, 2018 in Marshall County. Randy was born to Dock Claude and Katie Marie (Shoemaker) Smith on January 25, 1955 in Blount County.

Randy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He worked in the construction business as a contractor for many years, but had rather been fishing any day.  He was a member of Rock Springs Methodist Church.

Randy is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Sherrel Smith; and a granddaughter, Hallie Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Pat (Box) Smith; sons, Clint Smith(Chyenne) and Matt Box; daughters, Lauren Smith Tipton (Michael) and Miranda Box; brother, Sammy Smith; sisters, Linda VanZandt and Melba Hutchens (Ralph);  sister-in-law, Vicky Smith; grandchildren, Jayden, Camryn, Hayden, Hayley, and Kia; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018 in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, Chris Washburn officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family beginning at 12 noon on Saturday.  Burial will follow the service at Rock Springs Cemetery in Blount County. Pall bearers will be Chris Cole, Lance Yarbrough, Les VanZandt, Jonathan Hutchens, Matthew Smith, and Ty Smith.
