Garry Dwayne McDonald

Garry Dwayne McDonald, a longtime resident of Holly Pond, passed away on August 4, 2025, at the age of 69. Mr. McDonald was born October 4, 1955, to Russel Ferrell and Bonnie Mae Doyle McDonald.

Mr. McDonald served our nation honorably in the United States Airforce, giving selflessly of himself to ensure our freedom and well-being.

Garry is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sisters, Susan McDonald Vodvarka, and Kay McDonald Shedd; nieces, Christina Evangelista (Rico), and Tomeesa LeAnn Shedd; cousin, Dwayne Denney (Pam); as well as many loving extended family members.

Funeral services for Mr. McDonald will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. with services to follow at 1:00 p.m. Mr. McDonald will be laid to rest alongside his parents in Redan Cemetery immediately following services.
