Helen Faye Bailey

Helen Faye Gilley Bailey, 83, entered the presence of the Savior on March 11, 2022. She was born in Cullman County, Alabama, on March 15, 1938, to James Wiley and Broxie Lovell Gilley.

Mrs. Bailey was a member of Brooklyn Church. She was trained as a cosmetologist, but most recently she enjoyed being a Wal-Mart greeter. Helen loved her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Rayburn Bailey; and a son, Ricky Joel Bailey.

She is survived by her son, James Rayburn and Elaine Bailey; daughter, Regina Diane and David Yarbor; brother, James Burtis and Ovallion Gilley; sisters, Linda Reid, Kathy and Wayne Harris; grandchildren, Joshua Bailey, Jason Sanders, Madison Yarbor, Jessica Yarbor, Ethan Yarbor; great-grandchildren, Jordan Sanders, Riley Sanders, Joel Bailey; a host of nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Funeral services for Helen are 1 p.m., Thursday, March 17, 2022, in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, Chris Washburn and Josh Eddleman officiating. Burial will follow in Brooklyn Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the Bailey family two hours prior to service time, from 11 a.m., until services begin at 1 p.m.
