James “Edward” Creekmore, age 58, of Baileyton, passed away Friday, September 29, at his residence. He was born August 8, 1959, in Cullman County to Sherman and Addie Bell Statham Creekmore.
Mr. Creekmore was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Creekmore was a longtime employee of Wal-Mart and served his country in the National Guard. As a Deacon of Redan Baptist Church, Mr. Creekmore enjoyed serving his Savior by sharing God’s love on mission trips. He was also active in disaster relief efforts and served as the hands and feet of Christ in his service to those in need.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Gwina Holloway Creekmore; one daughter, Tiffany (Blake) Whisonant; one son, Cody (Elizabeth) Creekmore; five grandchildren, Karson, Brody, Asher, Ryker, and Phoenix; and two sisters, Brenda Creel and Myra(Roger) Hamrick.
Funeral services will be at 11:00AM Monday, October 2, 2017 at Redan Baptist Church, with Michael King officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Mr. Creekmore will lie in state at the church 1 hour prior to the service. Pallbearers are Blake Whisonant, Andy Chambers, Jim Holcomb, Kenneth Rogers, Greg Swann, and Chris Denny.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Redan Baptist Church.
