James Dudley Duke Jr. (Jimmy or DJ)

James Dudley Duke Jr, known as Jimmy or DJ by those who knew him best, age 47 of Holly Pond, entered into the presence of our Lord on March 5, 2018. Jimmy was born October 11, 1970 in Blount County to James Dudley Duke Sr. and Sherry Marks.

Jimmy was a loving father, grandfather, and best friend. He earned his college degree and used his knowledge to work for the railroad as a conductor and was employed by CSX for a number of years.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, and brother; Michael Duke.

Survivors include his two daughters, Heather (Andrew) Wray, and Jessica (Camron) Mitchell; companion and best friend, Tracey Mabrey; five granddaughters, Taylor Wray, Raelyn Mitchell, Gracie Wray, Emory Mitchell, and Emaleigh Wray; and a host of aunts and uncles.

Memorial services will be Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 6 p.m. in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel. Uncle Bo Marks will be conducting the services.
