Jamie Essmon

Jamie Essmon, 54, of Hanceville, was received into the arms of our Lord and Savior on Monday, April 16, 2018. He was born April 26, 1963 to Carl and Dorothy Jeanette Garrard Essmon in Jefferson County.

Jamie loved his family and was a proud grandfather of two, as well as a loving father of three.  He was a man with an outgoing personality that caused many to love him. He will be greatly missed by many.

Mr. Essmon is preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother; sons, Joshua (Kandice) Essmon and Jacob Essmon; daughter, Jamie Essmon; sister, Vickie (Jeff) Robbins; and grandchildren, Alison and Dawson Boyd.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Life Church, Paul Campbell officiating. Mr. Essmon will lie in-state 12 noon until service begins at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Livingston Chapel cemetery.  Friends and neighbors are invited to visit with the family on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Life Church in Dodge City.
