Jan Michael Phillips

Mr. Phillips was born August 14, 1944, at St. Rita’s Hospital in Lima, Ohio (Allen County) to Berman and Karmen Phillips. He was a loving father, grandfather, uncle and friend to many. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church of Holly Pond and a coach of Holly Pond Youth football and baseball. He was a leader in the community, always willing to help those in need. He was always quick with a joke and a smile to brighten someone’s day.

Mr. Phillips is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rick Phillips; sister, Cheryl McCay; and wife, Patsy Phillips.

He is survived by sisters, Pamela Phillips; sons, Tim (Denise) Phillips, Michael (Mandy) Phillips, Steven Phillips; daughter, Pamela Burt; grandchildren, Austin, Alexis, Audrey, Ben, Libby, Savannah, Addison, and Maks; great-grandchildren, Remi and Kye; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 21, 2018, in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, pastor Benjamin Smothers officiating. Burial will follow in Duck River Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Holly Pond in memory of Mr. Phillips.
