Johnny Pierce Stewart

Johnny Pierce Stewart, of Joppa, Alabama, passed away on June 4, 2025, at the age of 63. Mr. Stewart was born in Blount County, Alabama, on December 1, 1961, to Shirley Gwenell Stidham and Thurman Elmer Stewart.

Mr. Stewart is survived by his parents, Shirley Whitehead (Paul), and Elmer Stewart (Donna); children, Stephanie Barnett (Josh), Amber Garrison (Billy), Shay Morgan (Andy), Tosha Gibbs (Shawn), Stacia Grimes, Whitny Nabors (Joseph), Britny Stramer (Bryan), Jeremy Sides (Sarah), Christopher Sides (Daisy); siblings, Jason Whitehead (Amanda), Kookie White (Rod), Tanya Young (Javan), April Whitehead, Crystal Burkett (Anthony); grandchildren, Molly Barnett, Emery Barnett, Travis Barnett, Gage Garrison, Emmie Garrison, Addison Morgan, Riplee Gibbs, Rowan Gibbs, Memphis Grimes, Joplin Grimes, Daxton Nabors, Oliver Stramer, Finley Stramer, Arlo Stramer, Killian Sides-Bravo, Etzio Aleman, Silus Yanez, Andrew Sides, Audrey Sides; a host of nieces and nephews; and longtime friends, Will and Bob.

Johnny was a longtime employee of Walker Brothers in Baileyton. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and kayaking and he found peace in quiet solitude outdoors. Johnny enjoyed a night of poker with his friends as well.

Friends are invited to join the Stewart family on Thursday, June 12, 2025, in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, for an hour of visitation followed by a Celebration of Life. Visitation begins at 5:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 6:00 p.m. Frankie Stewart and Bobby Stewart will officiate.
