Joshua Brantley
Rochelle
July 4, 1984 – May 3, 2026
Joshua Brantley Rochelle, of Jasper, Alabama, passed from this earth on May 3, 2026, at the age of 41. Josh was born in Decatur, Alabama, on July 4, 1984, to Walter Glenn Rochelle, Jr. and Patti Jean Demonia Rochelle Meekison.
Josh is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents as well as his paternal grandmother.
Those surviving Josh include his father, Walter Glenn Rochelle, Jr.; mother, Patti Jean Demonia Rochelle Meekison; stepfather, Mark Meekison; grandfather, Walter Glenn Rochelle, Sr.; brother, George Tyler Meekison; his truest friend, Josh “Slick” Kincheloe; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as many dear friends.
As the first grandchild to either family, Josh was welcomed into the world without a hope. He was loved and spoiled by all who knew him. Josh was magnetic and he had a laugh that made you want to laugh along with him. His outgoing personality ensured he had many friends and he put people at ease when they were around him.
Josh was a hard worker from an early age - running hot dogs at the age of ten - and he had a way of gaining trust from those he worked for. Josh began his career as a machinist while still in high school, and he was given responsibility quickly in every job he had as he proved he was a skilled worker who also possessed leadership skills.
Josh loved the beach and enjoyed the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, even though his family swears they never saw him actually catch a fish. He was an animal lover and had many pets over the years including lizards, snakes, hamsters, gerbils, rabbits, crabs, and his beloved dogs.
The Rochelle and Meekison families honored Josh’s life in a private serve where they remembered Josh as a loving son, brother, and friend to many. Josh’s legacy of hard work, humor, friendship, and love for family will be remembered for generations to come.
Holly Pond Funeral Home is honored to serve the family and our thoughts and prayers are with them.
