Kathie Finley

Kathie Finley, 68, of Blountsville, passed away on April 30, 2019. She was born April 5, 1951, to Luther and Marie Cook Freeman.

Kathie spent the early part of her adult life as a legal secretary before becoming a farmer. She enjoyed attending Pleasant View Baptist Church, in Holly Pond, and loved the people of the church. Kathie was a very giving person. She gave of her time, talents, and her love to those in her life. She adored her daughter, family, friends, and her faithful companions, her dogs, Peaches and Gizmo.

Kathie is preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Marie Freeman; and her brother, Larry Pankey.

She is survived by a daughter, Leslie (Tim) Smith; brothers, Richie (Kathy) Freeman of Georgia, Kenneth (Pam) Freeman of South Dakota; sister, Sandra Freeman of Hanceville; sister-in-law, Doris Pankey; and special friends, Jerry and Teresa McCullough of Blountsville.

A memorial service for Ms. Finley will be Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 2 p.m. in Holly Pond Funeral Home chapel, Bro. Randy Burtram officiating. Friends may visit with the family an hour prior to services, from 1 p.m. until services begin.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made in memory of Kathie to the American Cancer Society.
