Olen 'Cub' Arrington

Olen 'Cub' Arrington, age 89 of Holly Pond, passed away Tuesday morning, February 28, 2017. He was born in DeKalb County to Andrew Jackson and Liger Ann Stevens Arrington. 'Cub' was a member Union Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and served our country with honor for  4 years in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He is predeceased in death by his parents; Wife, Imogene White Arrington; daughter, Linda Kathleen Cook; Brothers, Leroy, Dewey, Clarence, Lawrence, Millard, A.C, Clennon and Arlen Arrington; sisters, Pearley May Hester and Louola Trussell.

Survivors are Son, Kenneth Ray (Penny) Arrington; Daughter, Janice (Tim) Lee; Sister, Agnes Burrow; Grandchildren, Stephanie Cook, Dr. Johnna Lee, Tosha Arrington; and Great Grandchildren, Nicholas, Jackson, Jasmane, Preston, Alex and Jason.

Service will be held at Union Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church  at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017 with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Wednesday evening, March 1, 2017 at Holly Pond Funeral Home.  Hughlen Murphree and Dudley Brock officiating.
