Ramona Maddox Swindall

Cullman

Ramona "Mona" Swindall went to the other side of living shortly after her 71st birthday. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and was the second daughter of Dorothy Grimes Lytle and Talmadge M., She is preceded in death by her brother, Jerry M., and her husband, Larry "Fuzz" Swindall. She is survived by her children Lisa Barnes (David), Beau Hayes (Amanda) and three grandsons, (Jamison, Dalton, and Spencer), her sister Karen, brother Jeff (Sherry), sister Fancy (Mark), and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. We cannot forget her beloved fur babies, Chewi and Buddy, also known as Bud. She embraced creativity and technology to enhance her social connections and foster meaningful relationships with others. Mona was the type of person who never met a stranger, either in-person or in the virtual realm, but her kind words and thoughtful nature touched countless lives.

She was an avid writer, with many published and unpublished works that she never took credit. She loved nature, the outdoors, Brindley Mountain, and the true heritage of Cullman County, which included the lineage of the Brindley Family. Mona was an American Patriot and a free spirit, who loved to tell people that she was from the great State of Alabama, and she meant every word. She will be sorely missed by all.
