Ruby Jean Pitts

Ruby Jean Martin Pitts, 74, of Cullman, Alabama, passed away at her residence, on February 25, 2022. She was born April 1, 1947, to Sam and Myrtis Jimmerson Martin, in Blount County, Alabama.

Mrs. Pitts is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Douglas Pitts; son, Phillip Pitts; sisters, Vera Harbin, Iva Nell Tedder; and brothers, Thomas Martin and Paul Martin.

She is survived by her son, Cody Wade and Tamara Pitts; daughter, Lisa and Bobby Smith; grandchildren, Taran Pitts, Chad Overton, Lexie Pitts, Jaycie Pitts, Steven Pitts, Regina Teal; great-grandchildren, Bayleigh Hays, Kayleigh Hays, Nova Baker; sisters, Gail Harbin, Teresa Buchanan, Mary Jo Kytle, Dennis Martin, Buddy Martin, Ronnie Martin, Donnie Martin; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pitts are 2 p.m., Monday, February 28, 2022, at Roswell Creek Baptist Church, Paul Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Bradley Chapman, Duston Denny, Chad Overton, Bobby Smith, Justin Tidmore, Justin Riddle, and Charlie Huddleston serving as pallbearers. Friends are invited to visit with the family, at the church, two hours before services begin from 12 noon until services begin.
