Sammie Lyn Needham

Sammie Lyn Needham, of Holly Pond, Alabama, was welcomed into Heaven on January 22, 2024, at the age of 65. Mr. Needham was born in Oneonta, Alabama, on June 1, 1958, to Samuel and Augie Louise Wilson Needham.

Mr. Needham provided for his family as a truck driver. When he was not working, Sammie enjoyed fishing and he was always joking with those around him. He loved to hear the preaching of his friend and neighbor, Jeremy Collier, and he had placed his faith in Christ Jesus, knowing Him as his Savior and Lord. Mr. Needham adored his wife, Suzanne, and his children and grandchildren were very special to him. Even though he will be greatly missed by many, we rejoice knowing Sammie is in the presence of his Heavenly Father and look forward to the day we are reunited with him.

Mr. Needham is preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Needham; brother, Wayne Cobert; sisters, Marie Jimenez, and Freddie Isbell.

Those surviving Sammie include his beloved wife, Suzanne Strader Needham; children, Tammy Needham Raymond (Jeremy Gromaski), Aviana Needham, Marie Wright (William), Jane Strader, Kenneth Strader; grandchildren, Angel White, Autumn Strickland, Kristian Strickland, Makayla Raymond, Jenna Raymond, Summer Wright, Lillian Wright; great-grandchildren, Eternity Silguera, Athena Curdt; brother, Joseph Randy Needham; sister, Rovena Dunnavant; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Mr. Needham on June 1, 2024, at the Needham home.
