Sharron Diane Gibson Jenkins, 73, of Kimberly, Alabama, was welcomed home by her Heavenly Father on October 3, 2025. Ms. Jenkins was born in Cullman County, Alabama, on January 14, 1952, to the late T.C. and Valera Eliza Fortner Gibson.
Ms. Jenkins is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Gary Jenkins; and brother-in-law, Jerry Kyser.
Those left to cherish Ms. Jenkin’s memory include her son, Brian Gober and wife Mandy; father of her child and dear friend, Charles Gober; siblings, Vickie Kyser, Mike Gibson and wife Sandra, Bobby Gibson and wife Karen; grandson, Caleb Gober; granddaughter, Lexi Gober; and a host of treasured nieces and nephews.
Ms. Jenkins was a supervisor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in the computer center for over thirty years. Sharron enjoyed growing beautiful flowers in her garden and she also loved to bake.
Sharron and her late husband, Gary, were members of Cross Roads Church in Hayden. Ms. Jenkins loved worshipping her Savior alongside her husband as long as her health allowed her to. Ms. Sharron was a child of God and her love and trust in Him and His plans for her sustained her throughout her life, especially in the years following Gary’s passing.
Ms. Sharron was a genuinely kind person. She loved her family unconditionally and her adoration for them was evident. Ms. Jenkins was a loving wife to her husband for twenty-five years and her heart was truly broken when Gary passed. Brian, Mandy, Caleb, and Lexi were very dear to Ms. Sharron as well, and her conversations and writings all spoke of her love for them. Sharron was a true example of a Godly wife and mother, and her legacy of love and kindness will be remembered for generations to come.
