Solomon S. Barger

  Solomon S. Barger, age 85, passed away at his home Wednesday morning, August 21, 2019, surrounded by his loving wife and family members.  He was born in Tuscaloosa County to Ruben and Lula Mae Grammar Barger.  Solomon served our nation with honor in the U.S. Navy. His occupation in civilian life was an electrician working in the steel mill industry.  Fishing was a favorite past time. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven Barger; and grandson, Tristan Barger.

   Survivors are his wife, Wanda Hamilton Barger; sons, James Barger, Ronald Barger, Daniel Barger, Jeremy Elliott, and Shawn Elliott; brother, Lynbelle Barger; sisters, Nola Pond and Vera Donaldson; grandchildren, Brandon Barger, Roland Barger, Justin Barger, Lacey Dotson, Kalynn Barger, Stevie Evans and Cyleigh Elliott; 5 great grandchildren.
