Troy Fritzgerald Allison, Sr.

February 28, 1964 — April 19, 2024

Baileyton

Troy Fritzgerald Allison, Sr., 60, of Baileyton, Alabama, passed away on April 19, 2024. Mr. Allison was born in Flint, Michigan, to Gordon Allison, Sr., and Barbara McDaniel Allison on February 28, 1964.

Troy grew up in Flint but moved to Alabama as a young man. Mr. Allison enjoyed riding motorcycles with his friends and he treasured the trips to bike week that they made several years ago. Troy was a man with a big heart, and he loved his family, and those he called family, very much. He will be missed greatly.

Mr. Allison is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Troy Allison, Jr; and three grandchildren.

Those surviving Mr. Allison includes his wife, Patricia Allison; children, Joshua Allison (Victoria), Caleb Allison, Bret Kelley, Joseph Jones (Lesley), Jennifer Brown, Heather Brown; stepsons, Phillip Gass (Coral), Derek Gass; fourteen grandchildren; brothers, Gordon Allison, Jr. (Penny), Scott Allison; sister, Betty Shoup (Tim); and lifelong best friend and brother in heart, Mark Dolan (Michelle).

God saw him getting tired, and a cure

was not to be, so He put His arms

around him and whispered,

“Come to Me.”

With tearful eyes we watched him suffer,

and saw him slowly fade away.

Although we loved him dearly, we

could not make him stay. A golden

heart stopped beating, hard

working hands at rest. God broke

our hearts to prove us,

He only takes the best.

Mr. Allison’s life will be celebrated in a private family memorial at a later time.

Holly Pond Funeral Home is honored to serve the Allison family and our thoughts and prayers are with them.
