William “Butch” Fortner

Butch Fortner, age 62, of Holly Pond entered into the presence of his Savior on Monday, March 19, 2018. He was born August 24, 1955 to Nancy Carol Fortner.

Butch was a loving father and proud grandfather. He loved to talk, joke, and was a friend to anyone he met.  Butch worked in small engine repair, and was a master handyman/lawn care specialist/car detailer. Most days Butch could be found at the café. A cheeseburger, or anything swimming in gravy, was his usual.  If he wasn’t having a smoke at the café, you could find him at Jacks, or at any local yard sale. If you knew Butch well, then you also knew a loving man who knew God’s Word better than most. He was a man who prayed daily over his family. Butch was a lover of life and people –and a man who will be missed greatly by many.

Butch is survived by his mother; two daughters, Randa (Kelly) Duke and Karli (Matt) Huddleston; six grandchildren, Tanner Duke, Tess Duke, Tate Duke, Beau Huddleston, Cash Huddleston, and Milly Huddleston.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Randy Sellers officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 12 noon until services begin. Burial will follow in Brooklyn Cemetery.
