Obituary

Listen to Obituary

Woodrow Wilson Miller, known to most as Woody, passed away on August 19, 2026, at the age of 77. Mr. Miller was born in Cullman County, Alabama, on August 12, 1949, to the late Floyd Woodrow and Dorothy Lue Quick Miller.

Mr. Miller served our country honorably for six years in the United States Navy, including time served during the Vietnam War. His fortitude and dedication to our nation will be remembered by all who had the honor of knowing him. The skills Woody learned in the Navy led to a career as an Electrical Engineering and he went on to work for companies such as GE, Tufts Medical Center, and Massachusetts General Hospital.

Mr. Miller is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Camille “Dolly” Feulo Miller; brothers, Earnest Miller, David Miller; sisters, Evelyn Beatrice Shaw, Mary Lue Miller; and brother-in-law, Tony Harper.

Those left to cherish the many memories made with Woody include his children; twins, Kevin Miller and Laurie Miller Morrill. Brother, Matthew Miller; sisters, Shirley Fay Fraley (Paul), Doris Ann Miller Harper, Carolyn Elaine Flanagan, Martha Jo Miller. Granddaughters, Kayla Morrill (Tim Lescard), Alyssa Morrill (Jake Savage). Great-grandchildren, Mason and Millie Lescard. Nieces and nephews, Holly, Tracy, Casey, Jesse, Ryan, Bobby, Nick, Amanda, Dana; a host of great-nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Kelly Sullivan.

Mr. Miller was a man who never met a stranger. His kindness and magnetic personality made him the favorite uncle, a friend to many, and someone always ready to talk with you about anything. He loved his family fiercely and he made certain they knew they meant everything to him. His love for them was never questioned, and they loved him with the same passion as he loved them.

Woodrow’s life was measured not only in years, but in the lives he touched and the memories he left behind. His family will miss his presence more than words can express, but they will carry his love with them always.

He will forever be Bubba. Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever a part of the family he loved so dearly.

Friends are invited to join the Miller family on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel for a time of visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 1:00 p.m., with Darrell Bailey officiating. Mr. Miller will be laid to rest in Center Point Cemetery following services where he will receive military honors. His nieces and nephews will serve as his pallbearers.
